About the org
In a world that puts productivity over presence and profit over people, we believe in the value and dignity of every person’s creative voice.
That’s why we are working to increase access to creative support and community through writing instruction, coaching, and community over time.
About Heather
Who’s that?
Heather Parrish is a writer and educator from the Flathead Valley, currently based in Columbia Falls. Here’s a fancy photo of her. She has exactly one.
What does she do?
Heather Parrish plans courses, facilitates and teaches workshops, and provides writing coaching through the Analog Writing Collective. She also chases around two kids, a bunch of chickens, and a golden retriever together with her husband. She likes to do as much hands-on creating as she can including knitting, spinning, woodcarving, and playing music, with wildly variable success.
Is she qualified to do it?
Yep! Heather received an MFA/MA in creative nonfiction writing and English teaching from the University of Montana almost 10 years ago. Since then she’s taught writing, literature, communications, journalism, and teacher prep at colleges across Montana and at the secondary level. Right now, she’s a writer in tech, creating the words millions of people see in popular financial software every day.
She believes everyone has a right to a voice, and it’s this mission-based approach that drives her work with Analog.
